In addtion to the daily play and learning, Brooklyn provides multiple field trips, special events and classes.

Examples of previous trips include: nature walks, visits to the post office, bakery, pumpkin patch, apple orchard, childrens' theater, goat farm, and the lady bug walk.

Events include: presentors who come to the school such as the fire department, Shadow Puppet Theater, and "Creature Feature Night" where a reptile expert presents various reptiles for visual and sensory learning. In addtion, there are yearly events such as: a fundraising auction and childrens' performance, a camping trip, and a carnival.
